Peripherals
A computer peripheral is a device that is connected to your computer but the device is not part of the core computer architecture. Peripheral devices are organized into three groups, to make it easier to figure out which device a device is. The first group is known as the input devices, which includes components that are commonly known as a mouse and a keyboard. The second group is known as the output devices, which includes components that are commonly known as a monitor and a printer. The third and final group is the storage devices, which includes components that are commonly known as a hard drive and a flash drive. Peripheral devices are not only external devices, but they could be either internal or external devices. The reason for this is because internal peripheral devices are also referred to as integrated peripherals, which people think that they are external. The core elements of a computer are the central processing unit, power supply, motherboard and the computer case that contains those three components. All of the other components in a computer are technically periperal devices because they can be either disconnected or connected.
