- Van shoes are mostly made mostly for style and are not made to be ran in but just go somewhere - The Vans skateboard team filmed a video about a skateboard shoe and after the company got support for their brand new shoes - After Vans sold a lot of their brand new skateboard shoes they started opening public skate parks
The company Nike, was oriinally known as Blue Ribbon Sports and was founded at the University of Oregon by a track athlete and his coach. When the company first started out they were operating as a Japanese shoe maker. Where both of them operated at the back of track athlete, Phil Knight's automobile, after each race he won more and more people wanted their shoes because Phil Knight wore the same type of shoes. Later on more and more people wanted the shoes they were making and soon both the coach and track athlete started a buisness together.
When the first Vans store opened it was opened by Paul Van Doren, James Van Doren, Gordon Lee, and Serge D'Elia, under the name of The Van Doren Rubber Company. After hitting a few roadblocks, the company started to flourish because of their new customers,kids. For the company it turned out that kids were actually attracted to the place because of the unusual designs the place had going. After having kids buy a lot of shoes over the years the company started to get more products to sell and the company contributed to teenage sports to try to get more kids to buy the things they sell.
The difference between Nike and Vans are the places that both companies originated from. The beginnings both companies had, like the background or the reason each company had for starting their company. Nike sells athletic shoes because the main person that started making the shoe company, a reality, was a athlete and he knew that there were no good running shoes or any kind of sport shoes that people were able to use. Vans started a shoe company as a group to make different kind of shoes that peope would like and want to buy. Both companies in the end wanted to do the best they can to try and make their own company throughout what everyone told them and they succeeded because now their company makes so much money and they get to live very wealthy. In conclusion, both shoe companies are not very different because if you take away what kind of shoe the shoe is and what makes the shoe special then overall it just leaves you with a ordinary shoe which they built all of their money on.
